     Simon is a 2000 graduate of the William Esper Studio, having also attended Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University for two years. Shortly after graduation Mandal took on his first starring film role the independent comedy short, "Under Pressure." From there, Mandal, with guitar in hand, took to the New York City standup stage, logging hundreds of performances of his skewed performance--art driven rock and roll comedy show. He has also traveled around the Northeast as an Improv actor and Improv workshop teacher. Simon works regularly as a professional balloonist and magician.  In addition to his varied career in the arts Simon works in the Autism recovery program of a wonderful 12 year old boy. Having taught Improv for the past three years in myriad institutions, Simon is looking forward to his first year as a StageStruck Counselor!
