College of Music in Boston, MA where he studied jazz,
classical music and private guitar with Pat Metheny and

University. He has been teaching private guitar
students for over 25 yrs throughout the NJ and NY area.
As a guitarist, Rob has performed with the Drifters, the
Shirelles, the Marvelettes and Chuck Berry, to name a few.
He has also shared the stage with blues legends Buddy Guy,
Junior Wells and John Mayall. Back in the 80's he
toured throughout Europe with the Broadway musical HAIR and
has also performed in various theatres on and off Broadway
including the Paper Mills Playhouse. He transcribed
THE BEST OF STEELY DAN guitar book for Hal Leonard Music
publishers while he was playing guitar for the Steely Dan
Tribute Band "The Royal Scam". Rob is currently
writing, arranging and recording original music and jazz
standards in his home based studio "Mobile Music" for a soon
to be released CD with the group...and all That Jazz.
He was recently hired by Brother International
Corporation to compose a national radio jingle called
"P-touch People" to help promote one of their products.
Rob sees the need for a summer music day camp where kids can
learn and explore music on the guitar in a creative and
enjoyable environment. He believes that music study
should be fun but also wants to give young guitarists the
tools they need to grow as musicians thus encouraging them
to be disciplined and work hard on their music skills.
Whether it be jazz, blues, rock, funk or classical music,
Rob is sure to point students in the right direction, while
helping them achieve their musical goals. |
